What Is An Ultrasound?

An ultrasound is a real-time image that is attained using non-invasive and painless soundwaves to generate a quality image.

After scanning and generating a report, your ultrasound will be sent to our Medical Director to be reviewed.

Confirm Pregnancy with Ultrasound

Once receiving a positive pregnancy test, you will be eligible to be scheduled for an ultrasound as early as six weeks along to confirm a viable pregnancy. After confirming your intrauterine pregnancy with a heartbeat, our compassionate, trained staff will schedule you for a follow up in the following weeks.

What Can I Expect During An Ultrasound Appointment?

Once you have completed your Ultrasound Consent forms, you will be scheduled for your initial ultrasound appointment. You will be able to bring as many as three people with you. If you have children, be sure to bring someone to watch them during your appointment.

During your ultrasound, the first five minutes will be time to evaluate the location of the pregnancy as well as viability, and heartrate of the fetus. A Limited OB ultrasound will be performed to estimate the gestational age of the pregnancy.

After your ultrasound, you will receive ultrasound images as well as a flash drive containing the images to take with you.

The report will be sent to our Medical Director for further evaluation. Results will be available to you from your Client Portal.
